Synopsis
Wilderness is a Gone Girl-esque twisted love story that asks how far you would go to get revenge on the person who ripped out your heart. Liv and Will Taylor seem to have it all. A rock-solid marriage. A fresh start in New York, thousands of miles from their provincial British hometown. Still young enough to feel that their whole lives are ahead of them. Until Liv learns about the affair. Heartbreak is swiftly followed by another emotion. Fury. Revenge her only option. And she knows just the place. The American road trip they’ve fantasised about since their first date. For Will, he hopes the holiday will be a relationship life raft, a chance to show Liv he’s changed and can fix what they spent over a decade building. For Liv, it’s a very different prospect – a landscape where accidents happen all the time, where being a tourist only means you’re easier prey, all in all the perfect place to get away with murder. . . Tonally we will share the purist revenge of Doctor Foster, the turbocharged enjoyment and danger of Killing Eve and the narrative twists and turns of Dead to Me. Unapologetically entertaining, the drama will put one marriage-in-crisis under the microscope, watch as the domestic sphere is transformed into a war zone and leave the audience wondering – who will make it out alive.. . Following the events of series one, the stage is set for a cat and mouse story to play out back on Will and Liv’s home turf of the UK. A place where neither Liv or Will can escape their pasts and before long, historic secrets are threatening to overwhelm them. We land here with Liv, still very much married but estranged from her husband who is hot on her heels, both of whom we now know are capable of anything…
