Synopsis

The story is about Irene and Franklin York, a couple who have been together for 50+ years. They lost their adult son in the mid-1990s, but have a 24 year old granddaughter they love and a quiet existence (except for their nosy and intrusive neighbor.) But their story takes a turn when we discover the big secret they’ve been keeping all these years – there is a portal to a deserted planet in their backyard – and Irene discovers a mysterious young man on the other side of the portal. When Irene brings the young man back home with her, she invites a whole new danger into their lives, which only she can fend off.
