What's New on Prime Video: September 2026

If you've watched Reacher, you already know Frances Neagley. Maria Sten has played the sharp, unflappable former military investigator since the show's first season, and she's been a fan favourite from the start. Now she gets her own series, and it's a very different beast from the one that made her famous.
Neagley is set in Chicago, where Frances works as a private investigator. When she learns that a close friend from her past has been killed in what looks like an accident, she starts pulling at threads that lead somewhere far darker. Variety revealed that the trailer teases a "creepy cult storyline," and the cast around Sten is stacked with talent. Greyston Holt plays Detective Hudson Riley, Adeline Rudolph is Renee Birdwhistle, Jasper Jones plays Keno, Matthew Del Negro is Pierce Woodrow, and Damon Herriman rounds out the ensemble as Lawrence Cole. Alan Ritchson guest stars as Jack Reacher.
The show was created by Nick Santora and Nicholas Wootton, with Santora having built the Reacher universe from the ground up. All eight episodes drop at once on 16th September, the same day the Reacher season four finale airs. That's not a coincidence. Prime Video is handing you one world as it closes a chapter and opens another. Tom's Guide polled nearly 5,000 readers on the most anticipated shows of 2026, and Neagley ranked in the top five.

Ali Hazelwood's novel sold millions of copies and spent months on the New York Times bestseller list. It started as fan fiction, became a publishing phenomenon, and now it's a film starring Lili Reinhart and Tom Bateman.
Reinhart plays Olive Smith, a PhD candidate at Stanford who impulsively kisses the most intimidating professor in her department to convince her best friend Anh (Rachel Marsh) that she's moved on from a crush. The professor, Dr. Adam Carlsen (Bateman), turns out to need a fake girlfriend of his own, because the university is considering not renewing his research grant, deeming him a "flight risk." A serious relationship might change their minds. What starts as a mutually beneficial arrangement turns into something neither of them planned for.
Directed by Claire Scanlon, who previously made Set It Up and People We Hate at the Wedding, the film was adapted by Sarah Rothschild. The cast also includes Nicholas Duvernay as Jeremy, Arty Froushan as Tom, and Jaboukie Young-White as Malcolm. The trailer dropped in August and fans of the book immediately spotted key scenes, including the sunscreen moment and the hotel room scene. This is Prime Video continuing its run of book-to-screen adaptations after Off Campus, Every Year After, and Heated Rivalry, and it arrives at exactly the right time.

Livestream From Hell follows the three of them hosting a record-breaking livestream at Hart's tech-loaded mansion. What starts as a massive, influencer-driven event quickly spirals when a priceless vase gets shattered and real dead bodies start turning up. Forced to keep broadcasting to millions of viewers in real time, the panicked trio has to hide a corpse, survive escalating jump scares, and navigate a SWAT team raid, all while desperately trying to keep their audience entertained and unaware of the actual body count.
The film was announced during Kai Cenat's Mafiathon 3 livestream and immediately went viral. It's directed by David Janoff and produced by Hart's Hartbeat production company. The concept is genuinely clever: a whodunnit that plays out live on camera, blending the chaos of internet culture with classic murder mystery structure. It's the kind of film that could become a cult favourite overnight. All three titles are coming exclusively to Prime Video this September.
