What's New on Prime Video in August 2026
Three new titles are landing on Prime Video this August, and each one brings something completely different to the table. Jack Reacher loose in New York City. A teen mystery set on a fog-covered Canadian island. And a documentary that asks why the most decorated tennis player in history still can't walk away. Here's what's coming and when.
Reacher Season 4 - available 12th August
Alan Ritchson is back as Jack Reacher, and this time the setting has shifted from small-town America to the claustrophobic intensity of New York City. Season 4 adapts Lee Child's novel Gone Tomorrow and opens with Reacher witnessing a woman's death on a late-night subway train. What looks like a straightforward suicide quickly unravels into something far more dangerous, pulling him into a conspiracy that reaches the highest levels of power.
The first three seasons turned Reacher into one of Prime Video's biggest global hits, and the show has already been renewed for a fifth season before this one has even aired. That confidence is telling. Joining Ritchson this season are Sydelle Noel as an NYPD homicide detective and Agnez Mo in a role that looks set to complicate things significantly. The first three episodes land on 12th August, with new episodes dropping weekly through 16th September.
If you haven't caught up yet, seasons one through three are all streaming now. If you have, clear your Wednesday evening. Reacher's back and New York has no idea what's coming.

Sterling Point - available 5th August
From Megan Park, the filmmaker behind My Old Ass, comes a coming-of-age mystery set on a remote Canadian island shrouded in fog and family secrets. All eight episodes drop at once on Prime Video, making this a perfect weekend binge.
The setup is simple but effective. Seventeen-year-old Annie Jacobson discovers she's inherited a remote island from a grandfather she was never allowed to meet. She goes alone, and what she finds there is anything but straightforward. An unexpected sister. Locals who know more than they're letting on. And a family history that someone clearly wanted to stay buried. It's the kind of show that hooks you with a question in the first episode and doesn't let go until the last.
The series stars Ella Rubin, who broke out in The Idea of You alongside Anne Hathaway and has since appeared in Fear Street: Prom Queen and Until Dawn. Alongside her are Amélie Hoeferle and Jacob Whiteduck-Lavoie. If you're a fan of shows that blend romance with mystery and have that same atmospheric pull as a page-turner you can't put down, this one's been built for you. All eight episodes, one sitting, no waiting.

Novak Djokovic: The Wolf in Winter - available 20th August
Twenty-four Grand Slam titles. An Olympic gold medal. A record 428 weeks at world number one. By every measurable standard, Novak Djokovic has nothing left to prove. So the question at the heart of this documentary is a simple one: why does he keep going?
Directed by Jason Hehir, the filmmaker behind The Last Dance, The Wolf in Winter embeds with Djokovic as he returned to the Australian Open in 2025, capturing the obsession, the preparation, and the fire that refuses to go out. Born in war-torn Serbia, Djokovic grew up amid conflict and financial hardship as his family sacrificed everything to support his career. This film peels back those layers, featuring interviews with Rafael Nadal, Andre Agassi, and those closest to him.
This isn't a highlights reel. It's an intimate look at what drives someone who has already conquered everything to keep competing at the highest level. Arriving just ten days before the US Open begins at Flushing Meadows, the timing couldn't be better. One feature-length film, streaming exclusively on Prime Video from 20th August.
