Synopsis

Filmmaker Albert Serra follows star Peruvian matador Andrés Roca Rey from the solitude of his hotel room to a circuit of Spanish bullfighting arenas, observing the charged spectacle and violent encounters that await him. His preparations and rituals reveal the exacting demands of his profession.
