Synopsis

A Grito Herido follows the story of Paloma, Karla, Rocío, Ana and Daniela - 5 friends of different ages and marital statuses who come together to express their sorrows through singing. This romantic musical comedy is driven by five powerful characters: Paloma, recently pregnant and whose husband is taken to jail for political corruption, Ana who is divorcing her high school sweetheart in the midst of losing her business, Karla who shares a hidden relationship with her coworker’s husband, Rocio at the brink of losing her lifelong job as a music teacher and Daniela, a hopeless romantic who is left at the altar. These once best friends meet again for Daniela’s wedding. But when Daniela is left at the altar, her friends come together to support her and in a drunken night sing once again on stage. Without their knowledge, they are recorded and their performance is spotted by a famous music producer, changing their lives and friendships forever.
