Synopsis

Rogelio Pataquiva, a thief fleeing the police, infiltrates the neighborhood church. After a clumsy accident with the lamp, Father Camilo sees a halo on Rogelio's head and is convinced that he is God's envoy to be his successor. Seeking to save himself, Rogelio follows the rope and accepts the challenge of shepherding the community, not knowing that he will face not only the traditional opponents, but also himself and his own humanity.
