Synopsis

A true-crime investigative series on the gruesome murder of Shakereh Khaleeli, who left her royal family of Mysore and four daughters, to marry a shaman in order to conceive a son. Shakereh was buried alive in the Shaman’s living room, where he hosted parties and guests over the course of three years. India Today has never-seen-before footage of the body excavation, exclusive intervies with Shakereh’s daughters, mother, deomstic help and the police officers. We will also try to interview the murderer, who is serving a life sentence in jail. Aside from the gruesomness of the murder, this show plans on exploring the lengths women will go to in order to have a son and the societal pressures to have a boy. Additionally, it will explore the Indian laws of inheriting property and assests, as the shaman is claming ownership over Shakereh’s assest since they are married.
