Synopsis

It's 1953, and the historic clash between CBS newsman Edward R. Murrow and Sen. Joseph McCarthy. As McCarthy uses fear and falsehoods to wield power, Murrow and producer Fred W. Friendly take a bold stand on television. Featuring David Strathairn as Murrow and real McCarthy footage, the film captures a pivotal moment when journalism confronts political intimidation.
