Synopsis

In the summer of 1987, American journalist Edward Serotta photographed the harsh realities of Jewish life in Socialist Romania. Reflecting on his images, Serotta recalls traveling the country, his surveillance by the Securitate, and witnessing the hardship of the last years of the Ceaușescu regime.
