Synopsis

For 14 years, a filmmaker follows five Colombian families striving to move forward in a country where social mobility does not guarantee opportunity. Through inequality, setbacks, and small victories, their stories show how origins can shape, but not define, destiny. El Jugo de la Vida is an intimate portrait of struggle, dignity, and hope in Colombia.
