Synopsis
Born in a California labor camp to a poor farm-working community, Luis Valdez proved through art, theater, and film, including Zoot Suit, the first Chicano play on Broadway, and the smash Hollywood hit La Bamba, that the Mexican-American experience wasn't an immigrant story. It was an American story.
